The Armenia-Iran railway is very important for the Chinese and the President of China allocated sums of money for the construction of the railway, Gagik Beglaryan, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Armenia, informed after the Government session.

STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 18, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: "China is interested in restoring 'Silk Road'. For that reason many Chinese organizations doing business related to such projects are interested to have their unique place in the construction of the railway,"said Beglaryan.
The Minister also noted that nobody had ever said that the construction of the Armenia-Iran railway would be easy."We will do our best to overcome problems . We have never declared that the construction will be easy and we don’t have serious problems. The railway construction is necessary for all of us," said the Minister.
PM Hovik Abrahamyan announced in Tsaghkadzor, August 17 that he plans to visit China in September also to discuss China’s involvement in the Armenia-Iran railway construction project with his Chinese colleague.
