The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be settled by exceptionally peaceful means within the OSCE Minsk Group format.
Romania is hopeful for Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement
STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 22, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: Laszlo Borbely, Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy of Chamber of Deputies of Romania said the aforementioned during his meeting with the journalists in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
“Taking into account the fact that there’s tension in different parts of the world, we’re hopeful that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will have a peaceful settlement. We express hopes that peace will be reestablished in the region thanks to the Minsk Group efforts,” Romanian deputy stated.
He also conveyed his condolences on the tragedy which happened with the Armenian people in 1915, emphasizing that Romania had already expressed its position referring the Armenian Genocide.
Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of Armenia, Artak Zakaryan said that Armenia highly valued the message Romania president had addressed to the Armenian people ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the statement prepared by one of the standing committees of Romania which attached importance to the recognition and condemning of the Armenian Genocide.
