STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 25, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: Political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan said the aforementioned to journalists on January 25.

“PACE does not possess a mandate to engage into the process of conflict settlements, and the documents adopted by that structure always look good only on paper and can have no significance. I do not know whether those anti-Armenia reports will be adopted or not, but even if they will, nothing will change. I think it is needless to make a fuss in Armenia related to those reports,” Iskandaryan said.

The political scientist emphasized that the process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement will be further handled by the OSCE MG co-chairs.

“The MG co-chairs have recently made a statement related to these reports, clearly expressing their position. So, I think there’s nothing to worry about,” Iskandaryan added.

Two anti-Armenian reports are included in PACE’s winter session agenda: draft resolution on “Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan”, rapporteur Robert Walter (UK) and draft resolution on “Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately deprived of water”, rapporteur Milica Marković (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The reports will be put to vote on January 26.
