Armenians to run for seats in Syrian parliament

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 2, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: The commissions of all provinces concluded the process of nomination by March 1. The aforesaid is informed on the Facebook page of Perio News, the Syrian electoral commission announced that 8 thousand and 681 candidates from provinces, including Armenians, have been nominated by March 1.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad scheduled April 13 for holding elections. Elections will be conducted in 15 polling districts for 250 seats. MPs are elected directly, confidentially and by 4-year term.
