Five Nobel laureates, interesting lectures, discussions: The “Nobel Days in Yerevan” event may quite possibly become the most notable scientific event ever to be organized in Armenia.
Five Nobel laureates to give lectures in Armenia
STEPANAKERT, APRIL 11, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: Head of the Coordinating group of the “Nobel Days in Yerevan” Constantine Enkoyan stated at a press conference that the event will be unprecedented. The slogan of the event is “Be inspired and create”.
“We are hosting 5 Nobel laureates under one roof. This is unprecedented, as not many countries can be proud to unite so many Nobel laureates within one event. The main target group of the event are the students, though we also tried to engage school children”, Constantine Enkoyan reports.
Rector of the Yerevan State Medical University Michael Narimanyan stressed the importance of holding the “Nobel Days in Yerevan” event.
“Our guests, the Nobel laureates, have already arrived. 5 Laureates will start delivering lectures from April 12. The lectures will be on those topics for which they were granted the Nobel Prize”, he said.
The event will be held from April 12-15. It is organized by the initiative of the Yerevan State Medical University. Participants are - Aaron Ciechanover, Ei Ichi Negishi, Dan Shechtman, Ada Yonath and John Warren.
