Azerbaijan prepared for blitzkrieg for 22 years: Bako Sahakyan

STEPANAKERT, JULY 20, ARTSAKHPRESS: As NEWS.am reports, President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Bako Sahakyan, told the aforementioned to Lenta.ru, a Moscow-based online newspaper.

“From April 2 to 5, 2016, Azerbaijan, treacherously violating the 1994-1995 ceasefire agreements, conducted large-scale military operations against Artsakh, virtually all along the border,” noted the NKR President. “Azerbaijan’s actions can be considered war, with all their characteristics.”

In his words, it is also indispensable to take into account that Azerbaijan had prepared for the said four-day war in April for 22 years, and by conducting an aggressive policy.

“We have repeatedly warned about the dangerous and tragic consequences of the given policy,” stressed President Sahakyan. “Sadly, the war could not be prevented, and the adversary was forced to stop only after suffering great material and human losses."
