The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan published the preliminary results of the referendum on the constitutional changes held on September 26, the Azerbaijani APA news agency reported.

STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 27, ARTSAKHPRESS: The Azerbaijani CEC Chairman informed that 69.7% of the electorate participated in the referendum.
According to the presented data, 91.2% of people voted in favor of extending the president’s term of office from 5 to 7 years, 89% voted in favor of installation of the vice-presidents’ institute, 88.3% voted in favor eliminating the age limit for the elections of the MPs, and 91% voted in favor of abolishing the age limit for the president’s elections.
The Azerbaijani citizens also gave the president a right to dissolve the parliament: 87.4% voted in favor of such change.
The referendum in Azerbaijan was held with gross violations. A number of cases of ballot stuffing were recorded.
