STEPANAKERT, APRIL 11, ARTSAKHPRESS: Art School Director Alvina Mirzoyan said in an interview with Artsakhpress.
"Lessons on piano, vocal, folk instruments, violin, dance, painting, sculpture, tapestry, clothing design, etc. are held. The school has also accordion and clarinet vocational classes.
About 350 children attend the school. The number of children is growing every year. The school has branches in Berdashen and Gishi communities, Martuni region. A lot of work is being done for preparing local specialists," she said, noting that the art school is provided with musical instruments.
"We organize various events. Each year the art school concludes the year with an accounting concert. We had concerts in Martuni kindergartens and schools, in Berdashen, Gishi, Karmir Shuka (Red Market)," she said, adding that they maintain relations with other music schools in Armenia and abroad.
Speaking about future plans, the director informed that 4 students will take part in the Renaissance International Contest-Festival of Young Performers, which will be held on May 14-15 in Gyumri.
"This month we will participate in "National Dance" Olympiad, and in May – in the 12th Republican Festival-Competition of Isabel Center. We will also make a video clip with participation of our children at the monastery Amaras. We prepare concert program and gifts for Stepanakert Children's care and protection boarding school N 1," Alvina Mizoyan informed.
At the same time she added that everything is undertaken for activating the cultural life in Martuni.
