UN Security Council to vote on draft resolution over Syria

STEPANAKERT, APRIL 12,  ARTSAKHPRESS: The document has been prepared by the United Kingdom, France and the United States.

According to the Russia’s permanent mission in the UN, the voting is scheduled at 22:00 Moscow time.

Earlier the delegations of three western countries submitted a revised version of the draft resolution in the UN Security Council which condemned the use of chemical weapons in Syria, as well as the attack committed in Khan Sheikhoun.

The document also demands that Damascus hand over all information on flights on the day of the incident to the Joint Investigative Mechanism of the UN and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and provide access to the military bases from which strikes against Khan Sheikhoun could be carried out.

The UN Security Council’s draft resolution proposes the UN Secretary-General to assist investigating the purported incidents of chemical weapons in Syria, as well as in Khan Sheikhoun.
