Artsrun Hovhannisyan talked about military journalism at Artsakh State University
STEPANAKERT, JUNE 5 , ARTSAKHPRESS: As “Artsakhpress” reports, vice-rector at Artsakh State University Vitya Yaramishyan during his opening speech stressed the importance of the role of Artsrun Hovhannisyan in the field of Armenian military journalism.
Artsrun Hovhannisyan, in his turn, shared his experience with students.
"The information should be viewed as a strategy. If the Azerbaijani side used it exclusively for forging their own losses and critical situations, then for the Armenian side it has important role in keeping the public informed,” he said and added: “The Defense Ministry has been organizing military trainings and gatherings for a long time. We can prepare military journalists only due to such events thus directing their activities not only in emergencies but also in peacetime. We must always remember that our knowledge is our strongest weapon."
To the question whether the resumption of the war is possible, he said. "At the beginning of the year, the enemy tried to continue its provocative actions, but it did not work because of the degree of the readiness of Armenian armed forces.The situation on the border is appreciated as stable, but we must always be vigilant."
Afterwards, Artsrun Hovhannisyan answered the questions of the attendees of the meeting.
