On Monday, a law clinic was opened at Artsakh State University as a result of cooperation between US Armenian Bar Association, the Faculty of Law of the Yerevan State University and the Artsakh State University.

STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 6, ARTSAKHPRESS:As Artsakhpress correspondent reports, the students of the Faculty of Law of ASU, under the supervision of experienced lawyers, will provide free legal aid to the citizens of the Artsakh Republic.
Ruben Melikyan, the Ombudsman of Artsakh, said that the law clinic will contribute to lawful court examination.
''From the perspective of raising the qualification of our students, the clinic will carry out an important function and which will be realized in effective format as a result of Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh cooperation,'' Ruben Melikyan said.
Adviser to the Ombudsman of the Republic of Armenia, Sergey Ghalinyan, who also attended the event, said, by attaching importance to the opening of the aforementioned clinic in Artsakh, that it will be a kind of educational institution. “Due to the clinic the students will combine the theoretical and practical parts of their education,’’ - Sergey Ghalinyan noted.
Rector of Artsakh State University, Manush Minasyan, noted that owing to the opening of the law clinic, the students will develop their professional skills.
The event was attended by officials, lecturers and law students at ASU.
