we gave 500 USD for each child born in the village, and 200,000 drams for each couple getting married. When
we saw that financial support really boosts demographic growth
we doubled the sum given for newborns and today we are
thinking of increasing the sum again,'' said Mr. Harutyunyan adding that the author of the initiative is the State Minister Arayik Harutyunyan.
Director of the Khachmach school, Serob Mnatsakanyan, thanked Norayr Harutyunyan for his support and said that before the launch of the program there was a drop in the birth rate.
''After the launch of the program 10 children were born in the village within 5
years, while 23 were born from 2013 to 2017,'' Serob
Mnatsakanyan said. He added that the Harutyunyan family
