STEPANAKERT, MARCH 27, ARTSAKHPRESS:Artak Grigoryan, the tourism official of Artsakh's Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism told Artsakhpress about the aforementioned. The program dedicated to the day has already been developed.

“Within the frames of the project, composition competition on the respective theme will be organized at schools. We will also visit endangered monuments to raise interest and recognizability of those monuments. This year’s conception is “Heritage for generations”. Monuments that we have today are not gifts but cultural heritages that we ought to pass on to next generations,’’ Ministry official said.  He attached importance to the fact that an inter-departmental archeological committee session dedicated to the international day of monuments will also be organized to discuss the results of archeological excavations carried out in Artsakh in 2017. Respective specialists and media representatives will be invited to the session.

In Artak Grigoryan’s words, an intellectual game will be organized in the village of Tyak in Artsakh’s Hadrut region. Tigranakert will also be included in the list of historical and cultural places to visit that day. April 18 will be declared “Day of Open Doors’’ for those who want to visit Artsakh’s historical and cultural monuments.

“We will try to expand the program to include the monuments of all the communities of Artsakh. The exact timeline of events will be published in the coming days,’’ Artak Grigoryan added.
