Individual exhibition of an Artsakh artist held in Stepanakert (photos)

At the initiative of Artsakh Artists’ Union, Artsakh artist Alexander Atayan’s exhibition of individual works was held in Stepanakert gallery on Wednesday. The exhibition was dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the artist.

STEPANAKERT, MAY 3, ARTSAKHPRESS:Alexander Atayan told ArtsakhPress that 36 works are presented in the exhibition.

In his words, he has started painting since childhood. I mainly paint compositional works, portraits and landscapes. In 1977 I presented a compositional work under the theme of “Artsakh is awakening”. It is now in Yerevan National Gallery Fund,’’ the artist said, adding that he is planning to paint streets and buildings of Stepanakert.

Speaking about the works presented by

his colleague, rector of the Hakob Gyurjyan institute, Yuri

Hovhannisyan said that Alexander Atayan has created colorful paintings.

 

 

 

 

 

Artsakh artist Lavrent Ghalayan described Alexander Atayan as a monumental Artsakh artist.

He said that Alexander Atayan was one of his first pupils.

He was distinguished by his individuality, diligence and love toward painting.

 

 

 

 

Painters, lecturers, art lovers and others walked through the gallery and watched the artist's works.
