Artsakh Athlete Becomes World Champion

In the World MuayThai Championship 2015 that took place in the Thai capital Bangkok, the trainee of NKR Association of Martial Arts, the athlete of Youth Sports School at Stepanakert Municipality (Director Emils Hovhannisyan), Davit Hayrapetyan (under the direction of Coach Garegin Aghabalyan) has become the world champion.

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 14, ARTSAKHPRESS: The Vice President of NKR Association of Martial Arts Daniel Mkrtchyan told the aforementioned in the interview with “Artsakhpress”, noting that during the last five months this has been the second great achievement of G. Aghabalyan's trainees.

"David Hayrapetyan also participated in the European K1 Championship in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius (weight category below 68 kg). In the final round he sent the Belarussian representative into knockout and won the title of European Champion," added D. Mkrtchyan.

Remind that in the period from March 7 to 18, the national team of NKR Association of Martial Arts, led by the Vice President and Head Coach Garegin Aghabalyan, as part of the Professional MuayThai Federation of the Republic of Armenia under the guidance of its President Aram Abrahamyan, took part in the World MuayThai (Thai boxing) Championship 2015 in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, with athletes Davit Hayrapetyan (Artsakh) and Armen Grigoryan (RA).
