By the initiation and investment of the philanthropist from the Diaspora Vartan Sirmakesi, in the Kashatagh region a new water reservoir being built at the intersection of the Hagari and Aghavno rivers.

STEPANAKERT, JULY 28, ARTSAKHPRESS: It will be the second largest reservoir in Artsakh, after the Sarsang Reservoir. "M.Energo-L" Closed Joint-Stock Company’s Chief Executive Officer Alexander Mamounts informed Artsakhpress that the reservoir’s project is designed by the ‘Hayjrnakhagits’ Institute.
"The project will be completed in about two months. Now works are being done to build the necessary infrastructures for the reservoir," he said, adding that in the reservoir about 12 million m3 water will be stored. A small hydro power plant will be also built (30 million kW / h).
Mamounts informed that the constructional works will be completed in 2 years.Its exploitation would increase the area of irrigated areas, as well as the reservoir’s capacities would be used for building fish breeding enterprise.
