OSCE MG Co-Chairs discussed a range of issues related to Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict with President Sahakyan
STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 27, ARTSAKHPRESS: Artsakhpress learned that after the meeting, Igor Popov in an interview with journalists noted that issues related to the Karabakh conflict settlement process were discussed.
“ We talked about the meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which we are going to organize. We also spoke about humanitarian problems, and in this context, about possibility of the organization of meetings between representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani societies. However, the main issue of discussion was the current situation on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan. We are concerned over the tension on the Line of Contact, particularly over the use of heavy weapons. We will meet and discuss this issue with representatives of the army, " explained Popov.
The Co-Chairmen will participate in the monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of NKR and Azerbaijan to be held in the Martakert-Tartar road section by the OSCE mission.
During the monitoring, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office will cross the Line of Contact from the NKR side to Azerbaijan’s territory.
