Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala has said the suicide bomber involved in March 19 blast on Istanbul’s Istiklal Street is suspected of having links with the Islamic State terrorist group, informed Anadolu.

STEPANAKERT, MARCH  21, ARTSAKHPRESS: Addressing a press conference in Ankara on March 20, Ala said the bomber had been identified as 24-year-old Mehmet Ozturk, who is linked with the IS. He also said that five people had been held so far in connection with the terror attack.

The explosion on March 19 killed five people, including the suicide bomber, three Israelis and an Iranian. Of the 39 injured, 24 were foreigners; including Irish nationals.1 of the injured is 40 year old Armenian Oksan Khachanyan, who is in stable condition.
