In 2017 Artsakh agricultural gross domestic product (GDP) made 76.2 billion drams.
Artsakh agricultural GDP up 7.8%
STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 15, ARTSAKHPRESS:Artsakh National Statistical Service informed Artsakhpress about the aforesaid. The source added agricultural GDP grew by 7.8% as compared to 2016. The growth is mainly conditioned by increase in gross output of plant cultivation.
According to the source, production of meat, grain and legume (including maize), and milk mainly contributed to the growth in agricultural gross output.
As compared to the year past, production of meat, vegetable, and fruit and berries has increased by 5.9%, 1.5% and 1.3% respectively.
According to the same source, in 2017, as compared with the same period in 2016, the number of cattle decreased by 4.8% in the republic. The number of cows decreased by 2.5%, that of small cattle by 33.2%. Increase was marked in the number of pigs (4.7%) and birds (7.1%).
