There were born 2103 babies in Artsakh in the months of January-October during the current year. It’s 3 percents (which is equal to 61 babies) higher than it was last year.

STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 27, ARTSAKHPRESS: The national statistical service of the NKR informed to “Artsakhpress” about it and added that according to the regions there a growth of births was registered as compared with the last year in Qashatakh and Stepanakert.

The number of dead people is 1104 in the republic in the mentioned period which is decreased by 1.8 percents (it’s equal to 20 persons) as compared in the months of January-October of 2013. The natural increase of population is 999 persons during 10 months of the current year, which is accrued by 8.2 percents (it’s equal to 81 persons) as compared with the same period of the last year. As the source informs, the quantity of those who are officially registered in the NKR is 842, but quantity of those who leave is 488. The mechanical growth is 354.

According to the NSS of the NKR there were registered 1162 marriages in the republic in the mentioned period. It grew by 66.2 percents (equal to 463 marriages) compared with January-October months of the last year, and divorces were 176, instead of 158 of the last year.

Such growth of marriages first of all is conditioned with the Great wedding, which was expected in Artsakh since the last year, and that’s why many couples didn’t register their marriage officially-said the chief of the demographic policy department of the stuff of the ministry of labour and social affairs of the NKR Nune Avanesyan. “But I must also say it is mainly conditioned with the demographic policy, which was realized last years in the country. And as a result there were grown both the number of marriages, and the number of births”-said Nune Avanesyan.
