“I was very happy with rumors on Armenian footballer Aras Ozbiliz’s transfer to “Besiktas”. There is no doubt that sport and sports competitions play an important role for societies to know each other better, understand and strengthen the fraternal ties. I highlight Aras Ozbiliz’s playing in Turkey from now on as an important fact in the frames of strengthening the fraternal ties between Turkish and Armenian societies,” Selina Doğan mentioned.

She referred with sorrow to the fact that a racist propaganda was implemented against Ozbiliz because of his ethnicity. “Let no one forget that football is a sport brought to these lands by non-Muslim peoples. They established the first clubs in Turkey,” first woman deputy in Turksih Mejlis emphasized.

She wished success to “Besiktas” and Ozbiliz saying: “Dear Aras, welcome to your home, to your birthplace.
