STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 1, ARTSAKHPRESS: The newspaper noted that the Grey Wolves, which has dealings with the Islamic State, is active in Egypt since the late 1960s.

In addition, it is suspected that the Grey Wolves, especially Turkmen militant and Turkish citizen Alparslan Çelik, had killed the pilot of the Russian warplane which Turkey had shot down.

On October 31, 2015, the Islamic State terrorists downed a Russian passenger airplane, which was en route from Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) to Saint Petersburg (Russia), in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. All 217 passengers and seven crewmembers were killed in this catastrophe. After a long investigation, Russia declared that there was a bomb aboard this plane.

And on November 24, 2015, the Turkish air force shot down a Russian Su-24 attack aircraft/interdictor nearby the Turkish-Syrian border. The warplane was taking part in the antiterrorism operations in Syria. This incident led to the ongoing strain in Turkey-Russia relations.
