According to the official data for January, there are important accomplishments in Armenia’s economy, NEWS.am informed.
Armenia is only EEU country to record industrial output growth
STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 23, ARTSAKHPRESS: As case in point, the physical volume of industrial products has increased by 15.7 percent in the country.
To note, however, the first month of the new year was quite unfavorable for the industries of Armenia’s partner countries in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Accordingly, the industrial output in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan has dropped by 2.7, 6.8, 0.7 and 40.7 percent, respectively, in January.
It turns out that Armenia has become the sole EEU country where there seems to be no industrial stagnation.
But judging by the recent trends, it will become clear that only the metal industry has provided the lion’s share of this success of Armenia.
These metals, which primarily comprise minerals and concentrates, are almost entirely exported to third countries.
