Armenia’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan and Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan signed a joint order on Tuesday, Tert.am informs.
Armenia’s ministers of labor and defense signed joint order to ensure servicemen’s social protection
STEPANAKERT, MAY 31, ARTSAKHPRESS: The order envisages the formation of a task group t deal with the social security of servicemen and their families, as well as of persons with equal status. The task group will report to the ministers.
The decision to form the task group was made at a joint meeting at the Ministry of Defense on May 6, 2016.
“After our last meeting we thoroughly discussed all the tasks. I think that the joint work done during this period form a solid basis for servicemen’s social security,” Mr Asaryan said.
Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan highlighted joint discussions of urgent problems.
“On behalf of my fellow-workers, I would like to welcome and highlight our team work. We are now seeking to resolve a major problem: integrating servicemen’s social security problems into the country’s social security system, ensuring progress, after the four-day hostilities [in Nagorno-Karabakh],” Mr Ohanyan said.
Mr Asatryan thanked Mr Ohanyan for accepting an invitation to participate in a second joint meeting at the ministry of labor and social security, for jointly working and discussing further plans.
