President Donald Trump proclaimed Thursday he was withdrawing the US from the Paris climate accord.

STEPANAKERT, JUNE 2 , ARTSAKHPRESS: In a speech from the Rose Garden at the White House, Trump said the 2015 pact imposed wildly unfair environmental standards on American businesses and workers.
“As someone who cares deeply about our environment, I cannot in good conscience support a deal which punishes the United States,” he said. “The Paris accord is very unfair at the highest level to the United States.”
In his remarks, Trump listed sectors of the United States economy that would lose revenue and jobs if the country remained part of the accord, citing a study, asserting that the agreement would cost 2.7 million jobs by 2025.
“The United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord, but begin negotiations to reenter either the Paris accord, or an entirely new transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers — so we’re getting out,” he said.
