The stride in the development of Armenia’s animal farming will not permit the meat prices to go up in the country, Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan said at Wednesday’s year-ending press conference.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 24, ARTSAKHPRESS:Specifically, as per the minister, in the case when the volume of meat in the country had totaled 146,800 tons in 2013, this was 165,000 tons, or 12.4 percent more, this year. “Owing to this, the meat [price] practically does not go up in the market. In addition, we were able to expand the meat exports. And, soon, opportunities will open before us to export meat products to the large [Russia-led] Eurasian [Economic] Union market,” Karapetyan added.
