STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 22, ARTSAKHPRESS: The first-term senator has portrayed herself as a fighter for justice, decency, and equality.

Harris, the daughter of immigrants from India and Jamaica, launched her campaign for the White House on Monday—America’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday—in an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Kamala Harris is the former attorney general of California.

Since arriving in the Senate in 2016, Harris has built a reputation for bringing a prosecutorial style of questioning to hearings with Trump nominees.
