On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the renaming of the city Stepanakert a number of events were held at the capital’s central park after Stepan Shahumyan.

STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 28, ARTSAKHPRESS: As "Artsakhpress" reports, on the occasion of Stepanakert Day, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Artsakh Marat Musayelyan, Artsakh National Assembly Chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, Artsakh State Minister Grigory Martirosyan, Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigoryan, the delegation headed by the head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Yerevan Municipality David Gevorgyan, other high state officials and guests laid flowers and wreaths at the monument to Stepan Shahumyan.
A number of cultural and spors events were organized in capital Stepanakert.
Concert programs were organized in different parts of the capital with the participation of children from Stepanakert cultural centers.
The Stepanakert Municipality organized visits to the Maternal and Child Health Center , as well as wedding ceremonies, to congratulate the newlyweds.
