STEPANAKERT,  DECEMBER 14, ARTSAKHPRESS:  The news agency played a key role in delivering daily news to tens of thousands of visitors through its official website and active social media platforms. Presenting news in three languages ( Armenian, Russian and English,) the agency has been an important source of information, especially regarding the internal life of Artsakh.

From 2020 to 2023, the number of visits by users to the official website was more than 16 million.

Due to the forced displacement of the civilian population from Artsakh in 2023, the "Artsakhpress" news agency has lost its office in Stepanakert, situated at 50 Hovhannes Tumanyan Street.

All property and equipment of the agency, including new computers, archives, furniture, and technical equipment acquired during 2021-2022, have been left in Stepankert. The impossibility of transforming those assets to Armenia has caused serious problems.

The population displaced from Artsakh, now residing in Yerevan and various regions of the Republic of Armenia, faces many social, legal and rights protection issues. The website (Artsakhpress.am) acts as an important information platform, especially for around 100,000 people displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.

However, the further operation of the website, the Agency is facing a serious financial problem because, despite our many letters of application sent to various structures, unfortunately, there has been no substantial response so far. Consequently, the Agency is under the threat of suspension of its operations. Therefore, we appeal to all benefactors and charitable organizations who appreciate the importance of our work.
