Kazakhstan and Belarus presidents discuss Armenia’s EaEU accession

Kazakhstan and Belarus Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko exchanged views on the phone, and with respect to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), including the ratification of the EaEU treaty and Armenia’s and Kyrgyzstan’s joining the latter.

Kazakhstan and Belarus presidents discuss Armenia’s EaEU accession

Kazakhstan and Belarus Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko exchanged views on the phone, and with respect to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), including the ratification of the EaEU treaty and Armenia’s and Kyrgyzstan’s joining the latter.

“The leaders of the two countries discussed the situation in Ukraine and a possible meeting between the Eurasian ‘troika’ and Ukraine,” the message reads, reported Artsakhpress in reference to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

The treaty on the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union was signed on May 29 in the Kazakhstan capital city Astana, and by the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Armenia also has expressed its intention to join this organization, and this matter is scheduled for discussion at the end of the year.
