International mediators need to help the Karabakh conflict sides respect the ceasefire, Ambassador James Warlick, former US Co-Chair of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, told Voice of America Armenian service.

STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 28, ARTSAKHPRESS: As per Warlick, it is indispensable to respect the ceasefire and calm the situation, first of all, to save lives, but, also, to push the negotiation process forward.
Assessing the recent statement by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the American diplomat stressed that the mediators spare no efforts to help the sides respect the ceasefire and avoid casualties.
He expressed the hope that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will agree to meet again, and that the negotiation process will move forward.
In Ambassador Warlick’s words, however, all the details of the four-day war—which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in early April 2016—have not been revealed to this day.
But the diplomat added that now is the time for peace, which will change everything in the region.
