March 21-23, the Vice-president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, Vahram Balayan, was in Lebanon. In Beirut, he took part in an international scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia, where he made a scientific report on the theme "Reconstruction of Statehood in Artsakh" (December 1917 - July 1918).
Artsakh Parliamentarians visit Lebanon and Germany
STEPANAKERT, APRIL 6, ARTSAKHPRESS:March 27-31, the Deputy Head of the Artsakh parliament together with the deputy of the National Assembly Gagik Petrosyan took part in a number of events and meetings organized in the Federal Republic of Germany.
March 27, in Stuttgart the NA Vice-President met with the deputies of the Parliament of the Federal Land Baden-Württemberg Lars Patrick Berg and Daniel Rothman. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between the parliament of Artsakh and the legislature of Baden-Württemberg were discussed, as well as issues of regional development. The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh to Germany Harutyun Grigoryan participated in the meeting.
March 29, in Berlin in the Bundestag (the German parliament), the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Vahram Balayan, MP Gagik Petrosyan and the permanent representative of Artsakh in Germany met with the deputies of the Bundestag of the Land Brandenburg Steffen Kotré, Andreas Kalbitz and Andreas Galau. The parties considered issues concerning possible ways of parliamentary diplomacy and joint cooperation.
Continuing working meetings in the FRG, on March 30, the parliamentarians of Artsakh visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Berlin and met with Ambassador Ashot Smbatyan. During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the Karabakh problem, regional challenges, programs in the sphere of economy and culture of Artsakh.
March 31, in the city of Neunkirchen on March 31, a delegation led by Vahram Balayan met with the deputy of the Bundestag Waldemar Herdt. The parliamentarians talked about possible cooperation options and prospects for organizing activities in international structures aimed at raising awareness about Artsakh.
Last day of the working visit, the deputies took part in an event organized by the Armenian community in Cologne dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Artsakh Liberation Movement, where the NA Deputy Chairman handed the commemorative medal to the community on the 30th anniversary of the Karabakh movement.
