On May 7 Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, will implement a patriotic walking tour under the theme “In the footsteps of the heroes’’ dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 26th anniversaries of the formation of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army and the Liberation of Shushi.
Youth to go on walking tour to fortress town of Shushi in four directions
STEPANAKERT, APRIL 17, ARTSAKHPRESS:Leading specialist of the youth affairs department of the Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, Ani Kaplanyan told ArtsakhPress about the aforementioned.
In her words, the youth will go hiking in the four directions in which the operation of Shushi liberation was carried out: eastern — Shosh-Shushi, central — Stepanakert-Shushi highway, western — Krkzhan-Shushi and northern — Kirsavan-Shushi.
Our interlocutor mentioned that after reaching Shushi the participants will raise the flag at the yard of the Ghazanchetsots Cathedral of Christ the Holy Savior. Then they will dance and receive a blessing from the spiritual father.
“After candle lighting in the church, participants of the walking tour will be taken to Katarot (Jdrduz) of the Hunot Canyon’s reserve, where a cultural and entertainment program will be organized,’’ Ani Kaplanyan said. She added young people aged 16-30 can participate in the program.
