Excavations of mausoleum are being carried out by the Armenian Archeological Institute's expedition near the ancient fortress near Mirik community of Kashatagh region, Artsakh Republic.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 19, ARTSAKHPRESS: Kashatagh regional "Meran" official newspaper informs the aforesaid, detailing that the soil layer covering the mausoleum was removed these days, there were fragments of ceramics, animal bones.
According to the source, the monument is the only one that is so close, it is in about 8 meters diameter.
The excavation works are carried out by means of Stepan Sargsyan, co-founder of the US-based "Hayrenaser" Charitable NGO, who also sponsored the fortress study and excavations last year.
