STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 6, ARTSAKHPRESS: Armenia's weightlifting team's head coach, Federation secretary general, Pashik Alaverdyan also arrived in Artsakh with Simon Martirosyan.

Pashik Alaverdyan informed that he has worked with Simon for five years.He noted that Simon is very principled, hardworking; an athlete seeking to win.
Martirosyan held the two Senior World Records for the clean and jerk (240 kg) and total (435 kg) in this weight division. Only in the snatch combination, the Armenian athlete lost to the Chinese weightlifter, winning silver medal. Despite this, the victories of the athlete allowed the Armenian national team to race up to sixth position in the team medal standings.
