STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 13,  ARTSAKHPRESSTigran Hakobyan, the head of the Television and Radio Commission of the Republic of Armenia, told Artsakhpress”.

Hakobyan noted that the discussion of the issue of 2020 presidential elections in Artsakh was also on the agenda of the meeting.

"We are trying to make Artsakh Republic Public TV and other broadcasters comply with the requirements of information flows that operate in all developed countries, e.g., to provide equal conditions for all candidates, organize public debates, etc.

The second issue related to the Artsakh Republic Public TV and Radio Company. Unfortunately, to date, the public radio company operates in a limited field, and employees of the field do not have an opportunity to perceive and acquire foreign experience. Together, we will find solutions and ways to create conditions for them to participate in various events and conferences, not only in the Republic of Armenian but also abroad.

At the meeting we also discussed the issue of developing a roadmap by broadcasters from Armenia and Artsakh. The idea was welcomed by the President and he expressed his support for the implementation of the project,”said Hakobyan.

Tigran Hakobyan emphasized that Artsakh Republic Public TV should have 24-hour broadcasting.

According to Hakobyan, it is important for Artsakh TV to have viewable and attractive content. He noted that Artsakh should ensure its presence in the broadcasting field of Armenia with its voice.

“We have also discussed the issue of shooting joint series.  The series will tell about the history and daily life of Artsakh; it will be translated into different languages and spread through communities. In the coming days, we will make both our work plans and the roadmap. We will try to carry out the planned tasks effectively,”concluded Hakobyan.
