The first aircraft carrying humanitarian aid from Armenia to Syria has landed in Latakia’s Khmeimim Russian base, Gandzasar Weekly reported.

First aircraft carrying humanitarian aid from Armenia to Syria lands in Latakia

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 4, ARTSAKHPRESS: The first batch of a 20 ton humanitarian aid has arrived in Latakia on October 3. The aid was received by Tigran Gevorgyan - Consul General of Armenia in Aleppo, who has arrived in Latakia. Gevorgyan will make instructions regarding the distribution of the foodstuffs.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan instructed on September 30 that two aircrafts deliver humanitarian aid to Syria for assisting civilians. The President’s instruction came after the Armenian populated districts of Aleppo were bombarded by terrorists, leaving 5 Armenians dead and 11 wounded.
