Armenian-Israeli Forum may discuss non-supply of arms to conflicting states

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 12, ARTSAKHPRESS: “The idea on creating a public forum emerged in 2015 in Yerevan at the meeting with my colleagues. The Forum must form a really operating platform for constant cooperation in various sectors between the two states. I am happy that the heads of the inter-parliamentary friendship group supported implementing our plan”, he said.

Alexander Tsinker has been appointed Co-Chairman of the Forum from Israel.

The Forum will serve as a platform for cooperation between the two states on scientific, cultural, technological, healthcare, tourism and business sectors.

To the question whether other sectors of cooperation will be included in the Forum, for instance, defense sector, he said:

“The Forum is not going to carry out the works of Chambers of Commerce, and business and institutional structures of both states. Our goal is to ensure mutual understanding between the two people, to raise problematic issues and find ways for eliminating them”, Tsinker said, adding that one of the goals of the Forum can become an issue of freezing the arms transfers to countries involved in conflicts.
