On the eve of the second anniversary of its foundation, Stepanakert's wiki club has organized a round table where the successes as well as further projects of the club were discussed.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 26, ARTSAKHPRESS: As “Artsakhpres” reports, the co-founder 
and coordinator of the wiki club, Irina Safaryan noted that more than 1,000 articles have been edited over the two years; the majority of them are about Artsakh.
Susanna Mkrtchyan, President of the "Wikimedia Armenia" scientific-educational organization, presented the importance of the online encyclopedia. "We have 13 clubs, 3 of them are in Artsakh. The first one we have opened in Stepanakert, then in Togh village of Hadrut region and Karvachar, "she said and added that it aims to increase the reliable information about Artsakh on the Internet.
The Minister of Culture, Youth and Tourism of the Republic of Artsakh Sergey Shahverdyan welcomed the activities of the Artsakh wiki club and noted that not only children, but also specialists of various fields should be involved in editing materials in Wikipedia.
"We have a problem with spreading non-Armenian materials because the Armenian Wikipedia differs significantly from the English version. We need to find ways to deepen this cooperation. Our ministry has quite a lot of projects and we can create new cooperation within that framework, "he said, noting that the issue of information security is very important, which also exists in Wikipedia.
Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Artsakh Davit Babayan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh Mikayel Hambardzumyan, sponsor of the Stepanakert wiki club Tigran Azizbekyan and students of the club attended the event.
