A criminal case was filed in the General Department of the Military Investigation of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia on the murder of a soldier on the military position on the national, racist or religious grounds.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 9, ARTSAKHPRESS:The Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the preliminary investigation has been launched on the criminal case. Previously it was reported that serviceman Garik Ispiryan, born in 1995, received a fatal gunshot wound after being shot by the rival. Investigation is underway to clarify the details of the incident.
On 9 December the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed a decree on awarding posthumously private of NKR Defense Army's N division Garik Ispiryan with the "For Service in Battle" medal for bravery shown during the defense of the NKR state border.
