STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 2, ARTSAKHPRESS: Director of the Institute of Political and Social Studies of the Black Sea and Caspian region, Vladimir Zakharov told "Artsakhpress", noting that in his opinion Artsakh's independence first of all should be recognized by the Republic of Armenia.
"In letters which I wrote to former president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan I regularly urged him to recognize Artsakh's independence. Unfortunately, Russia has no common border with Karabakh, otherwise the attitude of Moscow would be other. In this regard I consider that the authorities of Armenia have to make practical decision,” V. Zakharov said.
He also noted that noted that he is happy to be in Artsakh today and see how people participate in festive events.
