STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 23, ARTSAKHPRESS: In this regard, the Central Election Commission extraordinary session was convened, where the upcoming electoral processes issues were discussed.

"Artsakhpress" reports, that nomination and self-nomination period was established for December 31 to January 3. In order to get payment receipts and other appropriate information, candidates should try to implement organizational work before the holidays, that is until December 31. The candidates’ pre-electoral campaign will begin on January 7 and run until January 16.

Chartar voters quantity is 3056, but some amendments are possible, as the final corrections are being performed. Note, that at the Central Election Commission extraordinary session the issue of Martuni region Gishi community's Mayor early election preparation and performance was discussed. It will be held on January 18, as well. By the way, a new Electoral Code will enter into force from the 1st of January, but the elections will be held in accordance with the requirements of current Code.

It is recalled, that in July local referendum Chartar and Ghuze Chartar population voted in favor of merging the two communities. Based on this, the Government has proposed amendments and additions to the law ''On the NKR Administrative-Territorial Division''. According to these changes, the area of Zoravan located on Chartar territory, is proposed to be given a status of town, naming it Nerqin Chartar, which will be included in Chartar community.
