Among foreigners, who received the NKR entrance visas, citizens of the CIS countries are prevailing.
''Artsakhpress'' had a talk with the head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of NKR Karine Avetisyan. ''Among foreigners most frequently visiting Artsakh are the citizens of Russian Federation (8927), the USA (1252), the French Republic (673), the Islamic Republic of Iran (560), the Republic of Ukraine (452), the Federal Republic of Germany (405), the Republic of Poland (338), the Lebanese Republic (291), the Republic of Turkmenistan (264), the Italian Republic (197). Last year 16.317 foreigners visited NKR of which 9971 were citizens of the CIS countries, 6346 citizens of other countries. In 2013 the number of foreigners visiting Artsakh increased by 805 people as compared to 2012'',- said Karine Avetisyan.
The head of the Consular Department also noted that ''last year citizens of the Republic of Fiji, the State of Libya and the Republic of the Philippines visited Artsakh for the first time''.
