New Constitution Draft discussed with Askeran Community

STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 16, ARTSAKHPRESS: As “ Artsakhpress” reports, the member of the Special Commission on Constitutional Reforms under the NKR President and Chairperson of the NKR Supreme Court Narine Narimanyan, emphasized the importance of constitutional reforms and urged the participants of the meeting to actively participate in the discussion of the draft.

“Our political forces chose a way of constitutional reforms. We are sure that as a result of amendments which will be made we will have more independent and effective public authority. The legislative, executive and judicial authorities’ balance will be improved," she said.

During the meeting, the members of the Special Commission heard the suggestions of attendees’ of the meeting and answered their questions.

In an interview with “Artsakhpress”, the Head of the Staff of the Askeran regional administration Arthur Melkumyan said:

“Constitutional reforms will have unambiguously positive change, as the current situation in our country dictates to pass to strict presidential management system.

I think the community will have an active participation in the referendum,” he said.
